We are not legally required to appoint a data protection officer; for privacy requests please use the contact details above.
We host this website with Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. When the website is accessed, Vercel as our processor automatically processes technical connection data (see "Server log files"). The basis is a data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum, vercel.com/legal/dpa); the subprocessors used are listed at vercel.com/legal/subprocessors. We run server-side functions in the Frankfurt region (EU). Where data is transferred to the USA, Vercel relies on the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable. If there were a comparable European provider, we would choose it. There isn't one. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and efficient provision).
On every access the host automatically collects information in so-called server log files that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, page or file accessed, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data serves to deliver the website and to ensure security and stability, and is not merged with other data sources. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The log data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.
This website shows a live operating status ("operating temperature"). For this, your browser regularly fetches a small status file exclusively from our own server (Vercel). This status file contains no personal data of visitors, and no data is transferred to third parties. Beyond the purely technical fetch, which like every page access is covered under "Server log files", we process no additional personal data for this function.
The fonts used are served locally from our server. There is no connection to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts); no data is transmitted to third parties to display the fonts.
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address or phone number and the content of your request) to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your request serves to initiate or fulfil a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in replying). Your data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for handling and no statutory retention obligations apply. Note: to protect against automated harvesting, contact details on this website are shown only after a click.
This website contains links to external services (such as LinkedIn). Only when you actively click such a link are you taken to the respective platform, where that provider's privacy terms apply. No active third-party content, plugins or tracking elements are embedded in this website.
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or audience measurement services. A cookie consent banner is therefore not required.
For security reasons this website uses TLS encryption (recognisable by "https://" in your browser's address bar). This prevents third parties from easily reading the data transmitted between your browser and our server.
Within the statutory framework you have at any time the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR). A message to the contact details above is sufficient.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: The State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.
Unless a more specific retention period is stated in this policy, personal data remains with us until the purpose of processing no longer applies. Where statutory retention obligations exist, deletion takes place after they expire.
We update this privacy policy whenever changes to the website or to legal requirements make it necessary. The version published here at any given time applies. As of: July 2026.
